Busy day at Travelocity as it offloads a second business in the space of a few hours, with BCD Travel snapping up its TBiz corporate division for an undisclosed fee.

The Texas-based wing of the global online travel agency (under the Sabre umbrella) was launched ten years ago and will remain a standalone brand within BCD.

Travelocity Global sold its HolidayAutos brand to CarTrawler earlier today.

The deal does not affect have material affect on the leisure travel brand at Travelocity, the pair say in a statement released today.

BCD says it will expand its existing services, such as the Advito consulting services and M&I tools, to existing TBiz customers as part of the deal.

Travelocity Business president, Yannis KarmisOver, says:

“Over the last 10 years, Travelocity Business has grown into a powerful force in corporate travel. We’ve built strong relationships with our clients, and I’m confident their interests—and the interests of our employees who transfer to BCD Travel—will be very well-served by the sale of TBiz.”

The selling off two subsidiaries (and trimming the portfolio) will add further fuel to growing speculation that Travelocity parent company Sabre is gearing up to list on the public markets later this year.

At the BCD end of the deal, acquiring TBiz adds another brand to its corporate travel roster under the Travix and TRX divisions of BCD Holdings.
